Mechanical Designer SP3D ENR
Independently design piping systems using PFDs, P&IDs, topographic surveys, and laser scans.
Lead modeling/drawing, planning, development and production work including problem analysis, pipe layout, and calculations.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, control, and structural disciplines to incorporate non-piping elements into three-dimensional models.
Quality review project drawings, isometrics, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner using acquired knowledge of fundamental concepts and practices pertaining to the piping discipline.
Lead production of design drawings within scope, budget and schedule.
Train, mentor, and develop less experienced detailing and design staff members.
Bachelor's of Science degree with of minimum of ten (10) years related experience.
Experience designing piping systems for water and wastewater and/or experience designing piping systems for oil, gas, and chemicals.Previous consulting experience preferred.
Proficiency in two- and three-dimensional design software including SmartPlant and Plant 3D, with CADWorx experience a plus. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
Expert knowledge in design of piping systems, the theory, and practices of assigned discipline. Competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.
Work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to clients, project managers, engineers and designers in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Proficiency in written & verbal English and experience working with United States based resources.
