Pathology Specimen Collector (Phlebotomist)

TML Pathology is a comprehensive medical laboratory and pathology practice with laboratory and patient pathology collection centre locations throughout Tasmania.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Pathology Specimen Collector to join our Hobart Tasmanian Collections team and grow your career with TML Pathology, part of Healius, a progressive healthcare leader. This Casual position will be offered various shifts between the hours of
00am- 6:
00pm Monday to Friday to cover leave within the team, as well as asked to participate in a weekend and public holiday roster as required. The successful candidate will receive full training, join a friendly and professional team dedicated to patient care and a company committed to excellence for our patients, our doctors and our people.
Your Duties will include:
Collection of blood and other samples from patients;
Packaging and dispatching of specimens;
Stock maintenance;
Greeting patients and assisting with appointments and requests;
Receiving and receipting of patient account payments;
Providing advice on special requirements, preparation and instructions for tests; and
Compliance and adherence with TML Pathology policies and procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety procedures.
About you

The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment;
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
A current Australian Open Drivers Licence may be required; and
Demonstrated experience & knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Cert III in Pathology would be advantageous.
