An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced administrator to join Waipā District Council's busy Service Delivery (technical services e.g. Transportation, Three Waters) group!

About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting our Transportation (roading engineering) teams. This role works as part of a team of three administrators, each dedicated to supporting various technical teams, and providing back up for one another when required. Meeting support - scheduling, taking and circulating minutes, and post-meeting follow up - is a significant component of this varied, fast-paced position, as is providing support with procurement and related tasks, so the successful candidate will have plenty of opportunities to learn and further grow their skillset.

About You

We are looking for a professional and reliable individual who demonstrates initiative and can keep a cool head in a busy environment; someone who can work with our technical staff to keep things running smoothly. Strong time management and prioritisation skills are a must, as is the ability to communicate effectively and build a rapport with others.

Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:

Previous experience in a similar role (with advanced meeting support experience a plus!);
A strong working knowledge of MS Office applications;
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail;
The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships; and
Above all, a fantastic attitude, and the desire to learn, grow, and provide quality support to the teams you work with.
