TheNational Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) NSW Division is seeking twohighly motivated, member focused individuals with experience inorganising, recruitment and campaigning, preferably also with gooddigital organising skills, either in a trade union or in social justiceorganisations. The successful applicants will be committed to buildingthe trade union movement. One of the Organiser positions is full-timeand ongoing and will be available from late August 2022. The other isfractional (0.8) and fixed-term (8-months) and available immediately.
TheNTEU is a federally registered union with coverage of academic andgeneral staff in higher education. The NTEU (NSW) is responsible forworkers in all NSW universities and their associated studentorganisations, research institutes and companies.
Thesuccessful candidate will initially be based at the NSW Division officein Surry Hills. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including, aspart of a team, taking responsibility for the completion of organising,campaigning, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch leveland state-wide. You may be allocated to support other NTEU branches inNSW.
It will be filled at NTEU Level 5/6 ($87,001 - $107,678 pro rata), plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
