Our Relationship Model of Care are focused on each individual resident’s needs and choices, via our staff becoming an extended part of the resident’s family, by building strong professional and meaningful relationships, with the aim of ensuring every resident has their best day possible.

About You  

You will be a person who can build and maintain relationships and work well in a team. The Lifestyle Assistant works with Volunteers as well as work closely with Therapy, and Care Staff providing support and activities for the residents of the home.

The successful candidate will bring energy and enthusiasm into this role, will be service oriented, possess exceptional people skills and be passionate about providing quality aged care activities for our residents.

Key Requirements

Certificate IV in Leisure Lifestyle or Cert III/IV Aged Care/Individual Support
At least 6 months experience in a similar role within the Health Care or Aged Care environment with exposure to residents with Dementia
Excellent interpersonal communication and clear written and spoken English
A passion for working in Aged Care and Lifestyle
Ability to work with a team and excellent customer services skills
Computer skills and ability to use Microsoft office

As part of the NDIS scheme, employees, contractors, labour hire and volunteers must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement as well as an  International Police Check  for those that have lived overseas for 12 months or more within the last 10 years.
