Software Engineer

Propeller's mission is to provide real time earthworks tracking for everyone. To pave the path to real time, we're building hardware and software solutions that simplify data collection, processing, and analysis for heavy civil and resource operations.

Our customers are essential workers who pave the roads we drive on, design the landfills we use, and manage our natural resources. We're committed to making their jobs easier by creating products and services which empower them to improve their efficiency and reduce their diesel consumption.

We believe a win for our customers is a win for Propeller and a win for the planet.

Your Mission

This role will see you joining our Data Engineering team who are responsible for getting our customer's data into and out of the Propeller ecosystem. You'll be building, maintaining and improving on the processing machinery that works with masses of photogrammetry data and coordinate reference systems (CRS) all around the world. This team plays a key role in Propeller being able to scale exponentially and you'll be developing services that allow us to improve the speed and accuracy at which we can process drone surveying data. This is a crucial goal for Propeller and our engineering team as we have seen our survey processing numbers double year on year.

In this role, you'll also be heavily involved in developing workflow software used during photogrammetry processing that is taking the form of a green-field application ‘Newsstand'. You'll also have the opportunity to work closely with the latest photogrammetry and 3D geometry software, ensuring that you are developing your technical skills on a daily basis.
