Job Description
Key areas of responsibility
Leadership
Accountability for the profitability and performance of the practice area
Manage a growing team of environment, marine, approvals and planning professionals
Maintain a strong team culture and teamwork
Driving staff engagement through access to career development opportunities, learning and development, work-life balance and authentic communication
Managing effective performance management including annual reviews, feedback, discipline.
Strategy & business development
Drive continue growth in the team and lead local strategy
Be part of the national strategic development initiatives
Project leadership
Acting as a project director and/or project manager for major and strategic projects so that projects are delivered to budget and client satisfaction
Leading proposal development
Overseeing project delivery risk; including preparing and communicating treatments where required
Qualifications
About you
You are a talented, motivated and people-focused leader with:
15 years’ experience in environment and planning, including at least five years in consulting and two in a project or team leadership role
Tertiary qualifications in environment, science, urban planning or related field
Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects to client satisfaction and to budget
Stakeholder management experience at a federal, state or local level, including experience with relevant legislation and stakeholders
