We are looking for Systems Engineers to work on an exciting major project for a Defence Contractor in their Sydney Office.

Your main responsibilities
As the Systems Engineer, you will be participating in a bidding project plus ongoing work. You will be working in a great team and with exciting products, coupled with the opportunity for career development, further training, and to work on major projects. Key responsibilities include;
Applying Systems Engineering principles to effectively perform specification development, functional decomposition, and requirements capture to ensure traceability throughout the design process.
Developing Sub System specifications and Interface Control Documents to define engineering work packages for allocation to suppliers and sub-contractors.
Reviewing supplier/sub-contractor documentation to assess if contractual requirements are satisfied.
Defining appropriate engineering performance measures (e.g. Electronic Signature, power, etc), allocating performance budgets to the engineering work packages, and ensuring that the required performance levels are achieved for these work packages.
Contributing to the Commonwealth design review process including preparation of packages for the various Mandated Systems Review activities.
Contributing to the development of Systems Engineering artefacts to ensure that the Mission System and supporting elements can be demonstrated to satisfy all contract requirements.
Identifying, analysing and recording safety hazards for systems under development.
To be successful for this role, you will have;
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
Clear understanding of systems engineering process and functional baseline management, requirement analysis and traceability through to system level design/architecture/interface, and requirements management.
Strong experience in;
Delivery of system compliance in accordance with a formal Verification & Validation Program.
Systems engineering using formal engineering methods across the systems engineering lifecycle, methods, tools, and techniques.
Engineering management, risk mitigation and business improvement methodologies.
Ability to work with information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR).
