Diesel Technician / Mechanic

William Adams are recruiting for a qualified Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our busy Headhunters workshop on a 5 x 2 (Monday – Friday) working roster.




Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of all types of Caterpillar equipment and components.  


Your typical day will look a little like this:
Trouble-shooting, repairing and maintenance of Caterpillar transmissions and engines
Rebuilding engines from all makes/models
Disassembly of used machinery
Starting your day off in a Cats meeting, discussing safety & new topics
Compiling and completing accurate reporting
Working as a team to manage your time and maximise efficiency
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Work alongside a high performing team, who are passionate about the gear they work on


You will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role:
A fully qualified Diesel Technician with practical experience
Previous experience working on Engine & Transmissions (great to have)
A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
A proactive and positive attitude, with strong work ethic
Ability to pass a pre-employment D&A screen and functional assessment
A base rate between up to $44 per hour (dependent on skill level) + tool allowance + super
Uniforms (laundered) & PPE
