Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples Expression of Interest (EOI)
The University of Queensland (UQ) acknowledges the Traditional Owners and their custodianship of the lands on which UQ operates. We pay our respects to their Ancestors and their descendants, who continue cultural and spiritual connections to Country. We recognise their valuable contributions to Australian and global society.
UQ is committed to ongoing employment, career development and retention of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples in all roles at UQ. The outlines the pathway to achieving this commitment through three (3) main objectives:

Expression of Interest (EOI)
Expressions of interest are sought from all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples seeking a professional or academic career in any field across UQ. The career opportunities across UQ are limitless and span across almost every field of work, from art curation to marketing and communication, to marine biology, to accounting, to rocket science. UQ also has a range of generalist career opportunities from student administration to executive and research support, to project work.
UQ considers that being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this EOI under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) and the filling of positions from this EOI constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 175 (Cth) and s105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld).
This EOI is therefore only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The EOI applicant pool is monitored by our Indigenous Employment team. The Indigenous Employment team will assess your EOI, and should they have an opportunity that matches your skillset, they will be in touch.
