Our success is in scaling our marketing efforts globally to drive sustainable revenue and user growth by moving users down the funnel.  About the role We’re looking for a veteran Paid Social leader to scale our global Paid Social efforts, working closely alongside some of the top performance marketing leaders in the world. You live and breathe Paid Social and have experience leading teams and scaling Paid Social campaigns globally. Reporting into the Global Head of Paid Social, Display & Programmatic, you will lead a team of Paid Social Managers/Specialists. You will be enthusiastic about embracing the different opportunities & challenges that come with working across a hypergrowth-global company. As a part of the team, you will drive the global strategy and expansion of Paid Social as a channel to deliver accelerated business growth across multiple product lines. You will also work closely with other marketers, engineers, and designers to exponentially grow Canva’s users & revenue.Most importantly, as we scale, you’ll thrive in a fast-moving, fluid environment, and be passionate about shaping user-centric experiences, communications, and working with diverse groups of people across the organization to achieve your goals. 

What you'll do

You will drive global strategy. Your vision and expertise will drive the Paid Social strategy to confidently achieve Canva’s vision for scaling Paid Social efforts globally across brand, user acquisition, revenue, and B2B efforts.
You will lead and empower your team. You will successfully empower your team to deliver on the Paid Social strategy and roadmap, driving exponential growth within efficiency guardrails by coaching your team to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
You will be a strong influencer across all of your stakeholders. You will work with a strong ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization & collaborate with cross-functional teams internally who empower the Paid Social team to achieve our goals. You will manage & motivate external partners to support the Canva Paid Social team’s unique needs and scale of growth. 
You are a market leader & subject matter expert. You will ensure the business stays ahead of industry trends & competitor activity and optimizes for current & future technology. 
You evangelize Paid Social at all levels. You’re a strong communicator, with the ability to share your team’s vision, wins & learnings with senior stakeholders across various parts of the business.

What we're looking for

You have 7+ years of experience with at least:
5+ years of hands-on experience running complex, large-scale global Paid Social accounts across multiple product lines & businesses (B2C, B2B, e-commerce) to hit efficiency & volume targets in-house/client-side (without an agency). 
2+ years leading and developing a team - you are a natural leader with the ability to motivate and maintain the momentum of a highly engaged, high-performing team to tackle new challenges, overcome blockers, achieve our crazy big goals and drive impact.
You have a deep understanding of how the core platforms, tools, and algorithms (eg. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Other social channels ) work and have designed strategic and technical roadmaps to power a world-class Paid Social program in collaboration with external partners as well as in-house teams. 
You understand how to connect the strategies from brand through to user acquisition, revenue, and B2B efforts in Paid Social. You have worked on scaling Paid Social campaigns globally and understand the nuances of localized campaign efforts.
You are an energy giver with a positive outlook and the ability to proactively build relationships with your team, peers, stakeholders, and partners.
You have excellent spoken and written communication skills, allowing you to successfully, clearly, and confidently share information with your colleagues and through marketing material.
You are able to confidently navigate ambiguity, and drive problems from chaos to clarity.
