Cloud Platform Engineer

Concentrix Tigerspike Sydney is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join the ANZ DevOps team. We are an AWS Partner, Network Advanced Tier Consulting Partner, and one of the most recognised specialist enterprise mobility companies in the world.

We take our client's visions from concept to release in as little as a few months and often work together to evolve products for years. We're spread across 10 locations around the world and are now expanding our DevOps team at a global level.

Tigerspike in Sydney is located in Surry Hills. It is our biggest office and as all our offices around the world, it showcases some amazing talent. As a Cloud Engineer at Concentrix Tigerspike, we are seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of projects in the cloud for our clients. The ideal person is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and the ability to customise them to help projects become secure and efficient. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and advanced industry knowledge is essential to keeping us on the cutting edge.

You will
Work in tandem with our engineering teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required
Employ exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect projects
You have
3+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
An understanding of and experience with the five pillars of the AWS well-architected framework
Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
Proven ability to collaborative with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, engineers, data analysts, and subject matter experts
Infrastructure as code experience (Cloudformation and/or Terraform)
An AWS Certification; SysOps Associate
It’s a bonus if you also have: AWS Certification; Solutions Architect professional, DevOps Engineer professional and/or Security Specialty Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC
