It Manager (Infrastructure)

*Reference: PE-Liesl-1*As the IT Manager you will be responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. Coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as provide support for daily operational activities of all users. Will work close with the Director of IT and Regional/Global Team. The role will be cloud focused.*Education and experience required: * * High school diploma or BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and/or 8 years equivalent work experience * Experience working with, designing and implementing cloud solutions. * Technical knowledge * Experience in Microsoft * Experience in Microsoft Exchange * Experience in networking * Experience in IT advanced support * Experience in managing in Microsoft Active Directory * Certification in AWS or Microsoft Azure advantageous o Experience leading a team * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required * Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language * Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, and so on * Highly self-motivated and directed * Detail oriented * Focus on solution, proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities * Able to work under pressure, showing ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment * Exceptional customer service focus * Team player * Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment *Essential functions: * * Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a cloud environment designing, building, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions on MS Azure * Identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. * Help define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices * Lead IT operational and strategic planning including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources * Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems. * Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems * Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. o Implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision * Develop requests for proposal * Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. o Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals * Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services * Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations * Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts * Support engineering and software development teams throughout project lifecycles * Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with the company Policy regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance * Perform network and security audits under the direction of the Network Engineer and the Help desk Supervisor * Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary * Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases * Create required reports in response to business user needs * Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team * Keep current with the latest technologies * Oversee approved projects o Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment * Manage local IT staffing (if it is applied), including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions * Establish and maintain regular communications with the organizations executives (MDs), department heads (OPS, Sales, Finance, HR), and end users regarding pertinent IT activities *Supervisory responsibilities * * Some supervisory responsibility may be required R Annually
