Our work culture is adapted to the constantly-evolving South African health care environment and will suit solution-driven team players interested in opportunities for career development while working to connect people with care.To conduct out-reach activities in the sex worker community by providing current accurate health information, mobilisation of SWs to the mobile unit and linkage to care.Minimum RequirementsGrade 10Accredited or recognised counselling certificateMinimum 1 3 years work experience in the sex industry or experience as a peer educatorFluent in English / isiZuluDuties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify SW hotspots for mobilisationEducate sex workers on risk reductionAssist team in follow-up of referral of all new cases HIV, TB, STIs and other health issuesSuccessfully refer SW to mobile health servicesProvide accurate and current health information to sex workers using a variety of delivery strategiesSkills and CompetenciesReport-writing skillsGood communication skillsNon-judgmental, trustworthy and empathetic personalityGood interpersonal skills, including being a team playerDemonstrate strong professional attitude and behaviour at all timesAbility to work non-traditional hours which may include weekends from time to timeGood attention to detail and accuracyOrganisational and planning skillsAverage level of numeracy with excellent attention to detailAbility to build relationships with stakeholdersGood problem-solving abilityVery good reasoning ability
