Solar Product Specialist - Utility

Functions - While working independently and consulting with other senior team members at global level, this position will perform the following essential functions:Organizing recurrent meetings and workshops with main suppliers of solar equipment to be always up to date on products features, performances, and all technical aspects.Managing the technical assessment of suppliers to be included or renewed in the Company's vendor list related to solar equipment.Supporting the engineering team and other units in all the technical aspects related to main solar equipment.Guiding the engineering team in validating/reviewing the selection of main solar equipment.Managing, preparing, and updating on a regular basis the technical specifications and design guidelines to be used for any RFPs to be issued by the Organization and / or to be used by external partners.Supporting the engineering team and Innovation in scouting activities for new solar products.Supporting the Project Engineer in all the engineering activities needed for any RFPs related to supply of main solar equipment.Guiding the Offline Technical Alignment of main solar equipment, in collaboration with other engineering units.Supporting project teams for assuring the selection of the best main solar equipment according to COD and location of the project.Supporting project teams for assessing all the main equipment changes occurred during the project life cycle (by tracking all the changes, by assessing the impacts on the project objectives and by controlling the implementation).Collaborating with the Operation and Maintenance department collecting feedback from the operation of Solar Plants.Implementing lessons learnt from previous projects, sharing the best practices and knowledge with the other units of the Organization and inside the Design Unit.Providing feedbacks for the continuous improvement of the design methodologies to the Head of the Design Unit.Coaching and providing induction and training to new hires in the Solar Design Unit.Requirements -At least 3-5 year of experience in the photovoltaic sectorBachelor's Degree in EngineeringAbility to work within a Global FrameworkAbility to work within a Matrix OrganizationAbility in working within multidisciplinary and multicultural teamsGood knowledge of main players in the photovoltaic marketBasic knowledge of overall design of Solar Power PlantsBasic knowledge of grid connection and electrical substationLeadership and soft skillsProblem-solving skillsAbility to manage relations with suppliersAbility to analyze and synthesize of complex business aspectsAbility to work in teamAbility to work in autonomy for complex tasks and in multiple projects under pressureCuriosity, proactivity, flexibility and availability Effective verbal and written communicationInnovation and Sustainable thinkingKnowledge of H&S laws and regulationsFluent English is requiredMust be available for domestic and international travel for meetings and for on-site supportA valid driving license
