Activities Coordinator

We are recruiting for an Activities Coordinator to join our clients' fantastic Team based in Cambridge.

Situated in the historic city of Cambridge, famous for its world-renowned university, punting on the River Cam, cycling and traditional English Heritage, our clients House is a dementia care home nestled in a quiet residential area. The home has 28 rooms and as a smaller house, it is very homely with a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.

Hours: 30Hours per week

Pay: £10.00 per hour

This is an exciting opportunity to really get to know the residents and provide them with a variety of stimulating activities that not only promote physical but also mental and social wellbeing

The ideal candidate for the role will:

  • Hold a current or willing to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Have a caring and compassionate attitude
  • Have an outgoing personality with a sensitive sense of humour
  • Be able to encourage residents to take part in appropriate activities
  • Be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Be able to organise and prioritise workload
  • Be able to make responsible choices and decisions, while acting in the resident's best interest
