A new brilliant opportunity is now available for senior care assistants to join our clients multi-award-winning, GOOD CQC rated, 40 bed residential care home located in Romford, Essex.

Our client is happy to offer senior care assistant positions for either part time or full time, permanent contracts for day or night shifts.

The care home offers a range of services tailored to individual residents within an informal, traditional and homely setting, carried out by a team of long-serving dedicated and caring care assistants and senior care assistants. They provide long and short-term care including respite care, dementia care, hospital recovery and palliative care. They also have a fantastic new daycare centre.

The home is a traditional family care home with a unique atmosphere of its own, making it a fantastic place to work.

As a senior care assistant your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated care assistants. You can also expect to be responsible for providing the residents with their medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Youll show warmth and support to the elderly residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care.

Senior care assistants with NVQ level 3 health and social care are desirable but experienced and qualified care assistants will also be consider and are encouraged to apply! Full training will be provided.

Main duties for senior care assistants are as follows:

  • To supervise and participate in the delivery of care to residents
  • Develop, review and update care plans to meet clients changing physical, social and psychological needs
  • Medication administration and medical assistance/standards
  • To provide leadership and support to the care assistants
  • Ensure that all supervision, appraisal and performance management of the care team are carried out, supporting them to achieve their potential.

Care Hour/shifts:

24-36 hours per week

Days and nights available

Rate of Pay:

£10 per hour
