Electrical Technician

Seeking an Electrical Technician / Prototype Technician / Wiring Tech / Elec Tech to work in a fast paced R+D environment pushing boundaries and limits in the pursuit of new applications and technologies.

Info about what the role entails

The successful Electrical Technician will be providing electrical wiring expertise to a variety of R&D projects covering install, testing, field wiring, control panel wiring and assembly on control panels and rigs, field wiring and LV power systems with occasional off site travel required.

Essential Requirements of the Electrical Technician / Prototype Technician / Wiring Tech / Elec Tech

• Some electrical or electronics qualifications (HNC, HND, apprentice, Degree etc)
• Able to read electrical diagrams, wire control panels, install cabling, terminate wires, recognise cable sizes etc
• Good initiative, able to work in a fast paced every changing environment

Nice to Have Requirements of the Electrical Technician / Prototype Technician / Wiring Tech / Elec Tech

• Experience with one-off / prototype / builds (not batch build) or in a R+D type environment
• Circuit design experience
• Experience with soldering, circuit boards
• Any experience with maintenance and re-wire in an automated / automation type plant environment
• Fault finding and repair experience
• Mechanical assembly experience
