This Building Physics Engineer opportunity is slightly different to the normal. This is with a business that are promoting the positive steps taken to combat climate change not just by the designs that they are putting together as a Building Services Consultants but also raising the profile of the problem by producing podcasts and providing commentary of significant events like COP 26. This shows that the business is passionate about providing solutions to the issue which can only enable you feel backed in your role.
They already have a Lead Building Physics Engineer within the business and you will be working closely with that engineer too. You will be working on initial services applications, Part L2A Compliancy Documentation, Renewable and Sustainability Reports, SAP Calcs and Energy statements and savings measures, Carbon usage and reduction and working through the M&E design works, M&E Performance Specifications, Surveys, tender appraisals, and site inspections. The business is using IES to do daylight and thermal modelling simulations and calculations and therefore it would be expected that you would have some grounding in those areas too. If you have EDSL TAS in your armoury that would also be welcomed too and the transition can be made with minimal fuss but with full support.
