About this Role:
Superb opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join this busy regional office of a national Tier 1 main contractor to manage the construction of an £30m new build education project in Devizes, Wiltshire.
The project comprises the construction of a large new academic buildings within the grounds of an existing school with main works due to commence imminently for an 19months + programme of works.
Reporting to a visiting Operations Manager who has been responsible for the scheme through preconstruction to date, you will be responsible for managing the project through the enabling works now on site onwards and throughout the construction phases with your project team.
You will lead your team holding responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programming of works, input to procurement with the commercial team and the smooth and timely progress of construction on site. Taking lead control of the project throughout, with health & safety, quality control, positive client interface and delivery on time and budget all of key importance.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The client is the busy regional office of a national Tier 1 main contractor, with a turnover in excess of £90m, and secured workload in the education sector at primary, secondary and higher level, commercial, leisure, scientific and retirement sectors, etc in the Wiltshire, Berkshire, Dorset and Hampshire areas.
This is a profitable and cash rich main contractor, with positive client and supply chain relationships.
Projects range in size from £8m to £35m. Work is secured through several national and regional frameworks, negotiated work with repeat clients, and competitive tenders.
Requirements including certificates and qualifications:
You will be an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record within a major contracting organisation, able to deliver design & build schemes up to £25m+ in value.
Key attributes will include excellent client facing skills, design team and site team leadership ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, focus and drive.
