Trade Finance Specialist

On behalf of our client, an established bank based in London, we are looking for a Trade Finance Specialist to join their team on permanent basis.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:To handle all incoming shipping documents and being document examiner 1st checking of documents.To ensure the name of beneficiary, company or name of Institution is not include in Watch ListTo ensure no duplicate payment is processed and there is not any leakage of income.To ensure customer complaints,queries are handled in a strong professional way while rectifying discrepancies.To ensure service Level Agreement is observed while handling shipping documents and payments.To review periodically turnaround time of transactions against Service Level Agreement.To maintain excellent relationship with valued and regular customers.To comply with the Group Money Laundering Prevention Policy and procedures to the extent applicable and reporting all suspicious transactions to MLRO..To help and provide desired information during the course of Internal Audit or External Audit of Trade Finance Department.Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective compliance culture within the BankAny additional activities deemed necessary to facilitate the successful completion of the department objectives.

Skills and knowledge:Ideally minimum 5 years relevant experienceUser level understanding of a Banking system such as EquationUnderstanding of banking instruments, procedures and dealing practices.An understanding of Banking and Trade Finance Operations procedures and policies.Previous customer service experienceExcellent attention to detailEssential SWIFT, Misys EquationPassionate about providing a quality service to all customersAble to work under pressure and with minimal supervisionFlexible/adaptable and approachableTeam worker and relationship builderExcellent time managementGood organizational, prioritising skills.Attention to detail and pride in work output.Able to meet and exceed customer needsCeMAPCDCSCITFCITF
