Some of the main duties of the Senior Development Scientist with Infrared Portable Spectroscopy experience experience will include:

  • Provide physics knowledge and practical optical skills to support the current and future Visible-Near Infrared Portable Spectroscopy instrument line
  • Leading the development of products as part of multi-disciplinary project teams including Industrial Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Service, Manufacturing Engineering to Operations Teams across into Integration Manufacturing
  • To design efficient experiments to answer customer and development problems and be able to process and distribute the findings to a broad audience

In order to be the successful Senior Development Scientist with Infrared Portable Spectroscopy experience and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Graduate Physicist, Optical, Mechanical, Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Mathematician or equivalent
  • Experienced in handling/setting up optical systems, with relation to spectroscopy and grating technologies
  • Leadership experience managing teams/mentoring junior Development Scientists
  • Ability to provide creative and innovative ideas on how to further Portable Spectroscopy instrumentation
  • Provides both practical and technical information to support the Portable Spectroscopy production team
  • Experienced working across multiple-discipline teams

Nice To haves

  • Knowledgeable of Lean Design or Six Sigma tools
  • Experience in MATLAB/Python programming languages
