Salary: £24K plus study support

T2M Resourcing are recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant to join the central finance team of a major UK company that is part of an international group. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to develop a career within Finance. The business will also consider a graduate and will support study for professional accounting qualifications.

Working as part of a busy management accounting team, you will support the timely and accurate reporting of overheads for the business, with a particular emphasis on supporting the period end close process and providing variance analysis and inputs into the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process.

As Assistant Management Accountant you will report directly to the Accounting Manager and key responsibilities will include the following,

  • Posting of overhead journals for assigned areas
  • Producing monthly reviews and commentary analysis
  • Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with technical accounting standards
  • Identifying inconsistencies and putting in place corrective actions
  • Producing functional P&Ls forareas
  • Organising relevant budget and forecasting inputs
  • Identifying financial risks and opportunities for theirareas
  • Acting as the primary finance contact for business partners, departmental heads and relevant cost centre owners

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience, skills and personable attributes:

  • A genuine interest in developing a career in Finance.
  • Ideally a relevant degree or Finance qualification
  • Some practical work experience, ideally in finance, gained through an internship or work placement would be an advantage but not essential
  • Good IT skills including Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an inquisitive approach
  • A commitment to qualify as an Accountant via CIMA or ACCA
  • Great attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
  • Outgoing and sociable able to communicate and present in an articulate and engaging manner
  • Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative but thrive in a teamwork environment

The company will offer a salary of up to £24,000 plus study support, 25 days annual holiday, pension and other large company benefits.
