Accounts Assistant/Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk Job, Manchester, Technology, Up to £22000 DOE

A market leader in their field, despite the challenges brought on by the global pandemic, continues to grow requires a Accounts Assistant with Purchase/Sales Ledger duties.
Your new role
In your new roles you will be working within the office and a small team. Your duties will include but not limited to, full understanding of Purchase/Sales Ledger/Nominal Ledger, processing of Purchase Invoices/Credits and Debit Notes, the full understanding on matching invoices to the purchase orders, Credit Control - Chasing Outstanding Payments with Customers, Allocation of payments received from Customers including bank reconciliation. Raising Remittances for supplier payments and allocating payments. Dealing with factoring accounts and being able to upload information to the bank for Drawdowns. Have a good understanding of foreign currency transactions on Creditors/Debtors reports. Being able to allocate foreign payment transactions received on the customer account with full understanding on how this will affect the exchange rate.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will, have a good understanding on Import and Export courier invoices and VAT reclaim, be able to work closely with a finance team, be able to work on your own and as part of a team. You will also be required to have a understanding of how pay-pal works and have good knowledge of how to process transactions
