Senior Credit Controller

Role: Senior Credit Controller

Location: Manchester

Tailor Made Sourcing are proud to be recruiting for a Senior Credit Controller to join a leading furnishing solution company in Manchester. Our client delivers and installs all aspects of interiors and are a one-stop shop for the complete furnishing process to the lettings industry.

The Role

?Responsible for Debtor book management and active management of relationships with key customers, driving a reduction in debtors DSO and improve cash collection for the business

?Create credit control policies and procedures to ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention. Adhere to all other company policies and procedures

?Centralise the management and storage of all contracts and create a database to track all contracts highlighting key contractual dates

?Implement new CRM system and roll out across the credit control department liaising with other departments across the business

?Integrate the CRM system fully for improving cash collection, managing the team and reporting on departmental performance

?Propose and agree cash targets and measure performance against target providing weekly updates on debtors to the finance director for input into the cashflow.

?Manage external relationships with credit insurers Euler Hermes and company and credit checking agencies such as credit safe. Ensure debts are serviced within contractual obligations.

?Fully accountable for dealing with complex payment applications

?Manage the day-to-day credit control function of the business including managing external relationships with credit insurance company and credit checking agencies

?Manage, measure, and develop the credit control team, including setting objectives, regular reviews and development support

?Create a training programme for credit control function

?Production and presentation of reports and team kpis to the finance director with insightful support and commentary to support decision making

?Organising and supervising staff to effectively manage workloads

?Independently identify financial risks and opportunities from clients, new regulation or legislation and other areas, analysing and reporting on these to Finance Director

?Create a right first-time measure for the credit control department and regularly feedback to Finance Director

?Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software

?Create relationships with external contacts, primarily clients but also bank, auditors etc

About You:

?Ideally you will be either a Qualified accountant or AAT, CICM qualified with relevant experience

?Proven experience using a CRM system and liaising with external credit insurers

?Proven experience of managing a credit control function as well as working knowledge of construction contracts is required

?Staff and process management experience

?Ability to set and drive kpis

?Savvy with systems and driving automation to improve efficiency

?Impeccable accuracy

?High standard of literacy and numerical skills required

?Excellent Microsoft Office skills; especially Excel

?Excellent timekeeping and deadline driven

?Proactive individual

?Ability to build good working relationships
