This Trainee Portfolio Manager role is situated within the Model Portfolio Team providing Investment and IFA Support to Investment Managers managing Bespoke MPS Portfolios.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all investment, administrative, organisational and client related tasks are completed efficiently and accurately, having regular contact with the IFA client base, dealing with enquires and provide support at meetings.
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will critique investment portfolios and supplement fund research and will provide analytics for the team, including performance, risk analysis, monitoring portfolio content and performance for Investment Managers.
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will assist with written communications and client contact to include ongoing, regular and ad-hoc reporting requirements and will be responsible for the production of reports and presentations and send performance updates to IFAs.
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will deal with IFA queries relating to literature and platform queries, as well as any ad-hoc queries from IFAs (performance, access to portfolios, analysis on portfolios, valuations)
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will prepare supporting documentation for meetings including presentations and factsheets and will provide support on administration for the wider MPS am and assist with ad hoc projects.
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will deal with IFA queries, attend IFA meetings with Investment Managers and take minutes during Investment Committee meetings
The Trainee Portfolio Manager will assist with trading on platforms and will support the Investment Managers in generating investment ideas by conducting data analysis/research.
Relevant industry qualification, RDR Level 4 IAD
Previous experience in a Front Office environment (Wealth Management / Investment Management background)
A good understanding of the Operational process within an Investment Management firm.
