An opportunity has arisen within Planning & Performance to support the Planning function of our client. As they work towards driving value for their members by compiling robust plans, building capability by concentrating on work that will add the most value, and use data to support why and where they focus their efforts. Your new role
Through this role, you will gain a detailed understanding of how Net Interest Margin, Cash Flow and Balance sheet are constructed for a Building Society, building knowledge of scenario planning and understanding of interlinkages of the strategic business plans and how they combine to form robust financial forecasts. This opportunity involves working across the entire planning system, gaining exposure and building understanding of a variety of business areas.


What you'll need to succeed
What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the Society's annual budget/forecasts and 5-year medium term plans
  • Collate forecasts from across the business, performing plan analysis and supporting the build of presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Scenario planning & sensitivity analysis, liaising with Financial Risk & ALM to support stress testing processes
  • Utilising data to build a picture of current performance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Support the team to build understanding of the wider planning & measurement processes
