Role: Health & Safety Advisor

Location: Birmingham office Projects across the region

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + excellent benefits package

Carriera is delighted to partner with an independent property & construction consultancy which is looking to hire an experienced Health & Safety/ CDM Advisor to their team in Birmingham. The successful candidate would join a team of experienced safety professionals who are passionate about improving H&S within construction.

Our client has been established for 5 years and offers a variety of professional services to their clients across the built environment throughout the Midlands and surrounding regions. Typical sectors that they are involved with include residential, retail, leisure, education, hotel, and commercial.

The business would be very interested in speaking with H&S professionals who have worked in the property and construction sectors, especially if they have worked within a consultancy setting or for a principal contractor.

Duties:

  • Carry out risk assessments and site inspections.
  • Compile pre construction information packs.
  • Oversee construction phase plans for each project.
  • Manage the H&S file and submit F10s to HSE.
  • Offer H&S, CDM and compliance advice to clients.
  • Take part in client and design meetings and offer input on H&S/ risks.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction certificates (or equivalent).
  • Membership to IOSH or APS (desirable).
  • Property or construction experience in a H&S capacity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving license.
