Role: Technical Sales Estimator

Location: Walsall

Hours of work: 08:00 16:30 Monday Friday

Salary: Negotiable + Commission

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Sales Estimator on behalf of a well-established Architectural business based in Walsall, that provide fabricated products for the building industry throughout the UK, from Guttering systems, building systems, roofing systems, flashings and profiled systems.

Duties:

Research upcoming projects within the Roofing and Cladding industry

Quote for upcoming projects.

• Identify new sales opportunities.
• Supporting the Contract Review.
• Attend meetings with new and existing customers
• Producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings.
• Create full routing information including labour and material costing.
• Liaise with sub-contract suppliers as required.
• Input all information into the computer system to produce full quotations to the sales department.
• Monitoring enquiries within the company and speaking directly with customers.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience from the Roofing and cladding industry

Extensive knowledge of architectural panels and rainscreen cladding systems.

• Previous experience within an Estimator role with experience in a sheet metal fabrication shop or metal profiling environment.
• Experience working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong background in fabrication or metal profiling processes.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
