This is a wide role within the Treasury and Structured Finance Legal team at Santander UK, where you will be working with a wider team of lawyers supporting our structured notes programmes, as well as the securitisation, derivatives and securities finance business.
The difference you'll make.
Providing legal advice and support in relation to structured finance transactions, including securitisation transactions, loan linked derivatives and securities finance transactions, structured notes, structured deposits and securitisation swaps.
Producing, reviewing, negotiating and delivering the legal documentation relating to Santander UK's structured finance transactions.
Identifying and managing legal risk in relation to activities of the Structured Finance Legal team, whilst facilitating the development and execution of the activities of the businesses supported.
Working with the Funding, ALM, Risk, SCCB, SCIB and Finance teams on the structuring, documentation and maintenance of structured finance transactions.
Analysing the implications of, communicating and embedding or reflecting in programme documentation and transactions, legal and regulatory developments or changes in Santander Group and Santander UK policies and procedures.
Developing and maintaining policies and procedures and templates for BAU activities related to Santander UK's structured finance activities.
What you'll bring.
Experience gained in private practice or in-house in a wide range of structured notes and deposits, securitisations, derivatives and securities finance transactions.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Proactive approach and great time management skills
Ability to work autonomously without supervision and actively collaborate with others in the team
Strong drafting and communication skills providing clear and simple advice and guidance
Analytical approach to transactions, demonstrating good attention to detail and understanding of the wider commercial requirements of transactions.
Exhibit good project management, taking on a higher profile in internal and external projects
What else you need to know.
This is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover position, based in our Triton Square, London offices. We have a hybrid approach to work between the office and home, with a flexible approach depending on business and personal needs.
