Reliability Technician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reliability Technician to join the Engineering Team based at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.

Holmen Iggesund is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. We value our employees and products highly. Today we are approximately 340 co-workers. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.

About the Reliability Technician role:

The successful candidate will support the Reliability Engineer in originating and developing analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and processes.

Responsibilities of our Reliability Technician include:

  • Preparing and presenting reporting of reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements
  • Supporting on reliability improvements using RCA, FMECA and other problem solving and improvement processes
  • Supporting engineering teams with asset criticality, maintenance strategy, OEE, EEM, asset category management and other reliability processes
  • Developing and owning onsite vibration monitoring, ultrasonic, lubrication management and other condition-based maintenance equipment and techniques
  • Supporting training and development of engineers and production

What we’re looking for in our Reliability Technician:

  • an Engineering Apprenticeship (minimum NVQ Level 3)

In addition to this, the following would be desirable:

  • Educated to HNC level in a technical discipline.
  • 5 years plus experience in a technical discipline or knowledge of reliability engineering techniques.
