Under direct supervision, tests, installs, repairs, calibrates and maintains electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment such as meters, recorders, relays, telemeter systems, supervisory or automatic control systems, radio, public address and load and frequency control systems that have been previously deenergized, deactivated and removed from service. Works with and assists Technicians of higher grade. Continues to maintain active interest in this type of work and through reading and study should keep abreast of progress in electrical technology related to the work.
QualificationsTwo years electrical technical education college level or equivalent.
NoteEmployees who demonstrate their aptitude for the work and establish a satisfactory record during one year of employment in this position will be promoted to Technician B.
