Town Planner - Renewables - Client side - Permanent - Hybrid
€60,000 - €70,000 DOE + benefits
According to a UN report, climate change could be irreversible by 2030. Many commentators believe we have this decade to radically address the situation.
That’s why it’s important that we take serious action before it’s too late.
With global events contributing to the energy price rise, governments and businesses have realised that renewable energy is the future. However, the planning process is complex, challenging and the legislation is continuously developing.
This could be an opportunity for you if you are a planner or have experience in compiling Environmental Impact Assessments, planning applications & leading development projects.
The company is an International wind farm and solar developer headquartered in Germany with a strong presence in Ireland for the past 14 years.
You will work on the Irish team based in South Dublin where you’ll take ownership of developing windfarm projects throughout Ireland. The office embraces flexible working arrangements for all staff. The management is also happy to discuss a reduced working week with candidates wishing to work fewer than 40 hours a week.
You’ll work in a close-knit and diverse team of like-minded individuals all working toward the same ultimate goal of supporting ROI to reach the current Govt stated policy of at least 80% of electricity being generated from renewables by 2030 and beyond: (url removed)
You’ll ideally have come from a planning background with a degree in Environmental/Town Planning and be experienced in managing projects through the planning permission & associated consultation processes. You’ll liaise with the key stakeholders – the local community, landowners, statutory stakeholders and local government etc
I recruited a person into this role 20 months ago, this role will report to them – this is what they had to say about working there: “The company offers a fantastic working environment and workplace flexibility. Coupled with a range of exciting renewables projects, it is a great place to work”
