This position, under the general direction of the Vice President and Director, Software Engineering, will be responsible for coordination, quality and output of the Software Engineer team to achieve the department and company goals. This role will ensure the implementation, coding, building, and testing of new features, maintain existing features, and development of reports that will include components, data models, customization and reporting features for our products. Additionally, this position will guide the gathering and refinement ofrequirements, develop designs, implement, test and document solutions to produce the highest quality product and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position will provide leadership and guidance to create a multi-functional team of top level, high-performing Software Engineers.Responsibilities

*Manages the overall work for multiple teams of product engineers and is accountable for maintaining a high level of team performance
*Monitors and drives all individual and team performance goals
*Coaches and develops product engineering employees
*Works to increase team efficiency and effectiveness in order to achieve long term goals
*Participates in hiring of new team members
*Performs any HR-related tasks
*Ensures analysis of performance and development of improvements to performance of web application.
*Guides implementation of new web application software features and products following best practices such as authoring of unit tests, writing maintainable code, applying established patterns and algorithms
*Ensures development of software to support internal initiatives, tools, update framework and application functionality
*Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team in the planning, scoping, estimation and execution of technical solutions
*Will often require "hands in the code"
*Other duties as assigned Qualifications
To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Qualifications include:
*10+ years' experience in software engineer role
*1-3 year's prior experience leading a team
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required, or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred
*Knowledge of current web client technologies including demonstrable proficiency with Typescript, React, Redux
*Knowledge AWS and related services
*Knowledge of Java,Hibernate, JPA/Hibernate, JAX-RS
*Proficient in SQL, MySql experience
*Familiar with OWASP threats and mitigation techniques
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Strong ability to work with current software design principles and concepts such as patterns, algorithms, data structures, dependency injection, MV**, SOA, n-tier architecture
*Strong ability to handle a heavy workload with multiple projects and frequent interruptions
*Strong ability to work in a changing, dynamic environment
*Ability to mentor and coach employees
*Constant collaborative virtual work environment in with co-workers
*Frequent social interactions and interruptions
*Frequent work under time restraints
*Occasionally carrying items weighing under 10 lbs.
*Rarely carrying items weighing between 11-20 lbs.Twisting/Turning:
*Occasionally reaching over shoulder, overhead and reaching outward
