Become part of PEM's Functions Department and learn about the event industry from start to finish. Assist with client relations including sales, pre-planning with clients and vendors, creating floor plans, detailing events, and event execution. During this internship you will assist event facilitators during events, detail events using PEM's event planning software, and play an integral part in promoting events on social media. You will also assist in weekly meeting consisting of compiling events packet to be reviewed and shared museum-wide. Office work to be conducted in-person and remotely. Most events take place Saturday evenings as well as a few mid-week.
Intern Qualifications: College or graduate student with a demonstrated interest in facilitating events or museum culture. Candidates must be able to interact in a professional manner with museum visitors and staff. Must be proficient in Office Suite applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
