Civil / Resident Engineer - Onshore Wind

Support the Project Management (PM) Team, acting as on site Resident Engineer during the construction of respective projects;
Assist with technical documentation for all equipment and project deliverables.
Assist the equipment procurement team regarding all main components throughout the engineering, supply, procurement, installation and commissioning activities;
Assist in the coordination, witnessing and monitoring of equipment performance testing, including commissioning and handover works;
Interface and liaise with local Utilities, including attendance at meetings as required;
Prepare prgress reports for PM Team, including schedule updates, financial updates and updating of the Project Risk Log;
Maintain, manage and update the project programme and all contractor and subcontractor updates;
Assist in coordination of all stages of construction work to ensure safety, cost, quality and schedule are managed, reported and maintained;
Interface and liaise with the electrical and civil engineering teams with regards design reviews, factory acceptance tests, installation works, commissioning works and final handover works (including all documentation);
Monitor the contractors and subcontractors safety, schedule and quality during the construction phase;
Participate on project team calls with contractors, designers and clients to provide technical support to PM Teams;
Assist in the production of complete and comprehensive documentation relating to the project and infrastructure, to be compiled in the Project Health and Safety File;
Assist PM Teams with design risk assessments, on-site risk assessments and safety audits;
Assist PM Teams with stakehlder management, with clients, contractors, landowners, drilling and testing companies, and occasionally statutory bodies such as Fisheries or OPW;
Assist PM Teams with desk top and site based assessments of new development projects, design of site layouts and swept path analysis of transport vehicles as required including where appropriate detailed transport surveys and inspections;
Assist in the preparation of construction and environmental method statements and other documentation as required to meet and adhere to project planning conditions;
Assist in the preparation and execution of tenders and specification for all contracts required for the construction of the project;
Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues, contractors and clients;
Can-do attitude and strong problem solving skills.

Strong leadership, supervisory and mentoring skills;
Flexibility regarding travelling to site and working alone (in Ireland and UK);
Able to adapt, work effectively and flexibly within a small team environment;
Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 min);
A minimum of 5 years' experience as a civil / resident engineer, preferably with a number of years' experience on windfarm development projects in Ireland or UK;
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is an advantage;
Design experience combined with construction experience in renewables is an advantage;
Experience of the PSDP role on projects is desirable;
Hold a current driving licence;
Safe Pass Training.
