The Peabody Essex Museum, one of the most dynamic art and culture museums in the country, is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its Marketing team. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, the Graphic Designer will create a variety of innovative and compelling marketing materials in collaboration with a creative team that includes other graphic artists, writers, editors and photographers. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who pays close attention to detail, welcomes feedback, and strives to ensure that the museum's established visual identity and brand positioning are well articulated and consistent in all materials. The Graphic Designer should be comfortable participating in the full creative cycle, from brainstorming to strategy to design to production, across a wide array of print and digital projects with different stakeholders.
A bachelor's degree in graphic design or the equivalent combination of experience is required. Proficiency on a Mac platform design hardware and software with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite as well as knowledge of design trends and best practices is preferred. The Graphic Designer has excellent problem solving skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a variety of people. Knowledge of HTML and CCS while being familiar with graphics for videos, email, and websites is also preferred. Please provide a link to a digital portfolio as part of your application.
