Shared Services Team Lead

Note: This is not a remote position and will be based in GitHub's Hyderabad, India office.

We are looking for a dynamic and driven leader to join our new Sales Operations Shared Services Team. The ideal candidate will possess experience working in a high-performance culture and is excited about doing the best work of their lives at GitHub. Position Summary:

Reports to the Director, Sales Tools & Efficiency. Directly supervises the Sales Operations Shared Services Team. Responsible for leading the Shared Services Team in it's mission to deliver on it's key operational duties for the GitHub Sales Operations Org, while delivering an exceptional customer experience, instilling operational discipline and excellence, and promoting scalability and efficiency.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Help lead the definition of new processes/procedures for the newly-formed Sales Operations Shared Services Team
  • Manage, motivate and monitor the team in order to ensure team objectives are met and an exceptional customer service experience is delivered to our stakeholders
  • Work with Sales Operations leadership and Shared Services Team Analysts to define and manage processes, best practices, and team KPIs
  • Oversee team employee development and performance management
  • Serve as a "player coach" for the team, serving as a part-time analyst on the team, owning individual tasks and duties as needed
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and change readiness within the team.
  • Monitor both team and individual workloads, making changes where required to maximize delivery. Escalate concerns and proactively suggest solutions to leadership
  • Experience cross-functional collaboration at its best as you get things done with your Shared Services Team colleagues, various Sales Operations teams, and internal Sales teams
  • Challenge yourself to be better while aligning with the immediate team and the bigger team's goals and vision

Requirements

The Shared Services Team Lead needs to be a creative thinker who proactively proposes innovative ways to improve our processes and is able to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate needs a combination of business focus and strong analytical and problem solving skills.

On your first day, we expect you to have:

  • 3+ years of experience managing a shared services/data operations team at an enterprise company, with a proven track record of driving team and individual success
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Data Governance, Sales Operations, or Customer Support organizations, both in terms of triaging and managing requests to resolution
  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce System Administrator, including an understanding of platform integrations and experience performing mass data updates using tools such as Data Loader, Workbench.io, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and able to generate reports using macros, pivot tables, etc
  • Experience with administering/using common Sales Tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, Gong.io
  • A good eye on details, processes, support and embrace quality as the standard of success
  • Great verbal and written communication skills with end-users, Customers, and IT
  • Enthusiasm for responsible openness; able to learn, unlearn and help move the team in its set direction; provide and accept real-time feedback
