Casino Service Representative

Casino Service Representative Full Time

Salary Range: $13.25/Hour

POSITION SUMMARY The incumbent in this position is responsible for ensuring that revenue from tables games and slots are dropped and counted in compliance with the laws of the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission standards and company internal controls.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.) Handle large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received through drop. Perform all duties in a confidential manner Remove bill validator drop boxes from slot machines and replace with empty boxes. Load dropped bill validator boxes on cart and transport to the count room. Must be able to operate currency counter machines to count and strap currency from slot bill validator cash boxes, table game drop boxes and non-gaming revenue. Trace and match fills/credit slips from table game drop boxes to the daily report and document any discrepancies. Must be able to operate a currency counting machine and upload end of day totals to the Audit department. Empty drop boxes individually and in numerical order Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must have ability to: Complete tasks subject to varying levels of crowds, noise levels, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume. Communicate effectively with customers, as well as with all levels of Team Members. Effectively and efficiently move around the casino. Use computer keyboard, 10-key calculator, and Jetsort machine. Identify and accurately cash different denominations of cash currency. Balance accounting sheet at the end of the day. Perform basic mathematical functions. Bend, squat, reach and twist to be able to retrieve full and empty drop boxes. Remain standing for majority of shift and to move around casino cage, count room, or casino floor in an efficient manner. Print and write legibly Maintain confidentiality. Push/pull a slot full bill validator drop cart with assistance. Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Computer input and 10-key experience preferred but not required. Previous experience in operating money counter/facer helpful. Qualifications are typically acquired through two months of on the job training, or through related experiences.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City. Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department. Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance. Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
