Gannet Fleming is looking for a Traffic Engineer or Traffic Engineer in Training to contribute to a wide range of projects involving on a variety of environmental licensing, permitting and compliance to join our Noise, Vibration and Air Quality Group in the Camp Hill, PA, Valley Forge, PA or Piscataway, NJ office

The successful candidate will assist with traffic modeling, highway and rail transportation noise, environmental noise, industrial noise projects. The successful candidate will participate in sound level measurement programs, data collection, data analysis (including traffic data) and report preparation.

Job duties:

  • Lead or support field data collection at locations throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Develop and analyze traffic, noise, vibration, and air quality models
  • Lead or support the production of written reports that summarize analysis results
  • Publish relevant thought leadership content through Gannett Fleming media channels and present findings at industry forums.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the project lead
  • Working as part of a team to develop quality and robust solutions
  • Assist design teams in creating plans from concept through final construction drawings
Education | Experience:

Education | Experience:

  • Minimum BS degree in Engineering (Different degrees may be considered)


  • 5 Training Certification a plus but employer sponsored training available MicroStation/AutoCAD/Open Roads experience is highly desired
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience is a plus.
  • ArcGIS Desktop, experience with 3D Analyst, ArcGIS Pro or Python is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • A passion for working with teammates and customers to solve problems
  • Dynamic, personable and self-motivated personality with the ability to work as part of a distributed team as well as independently on assigned tasks.
  • Experience working with state highway agencies and an understanding of DOT guidelines / procedures / policies is required

Salary Range: Salary dependent upon experience and geographic location
