Project Manager

What You Will Do:

GeoDecisions is currently seeking a Project Manager to work in one of our offices including Camp Hill, PA; Richmond, VA; Raleigh, NC and Tallahassee, FL. The Project Manager would join a thriving team of application developers and data analysts servicing a wide range of government and private sector clients throughout the United States. This position will be primarily supporting the development of various innovative web-based solutions that help optimize client operations using spatial and non-spatial data analysis. Our web solutions are designed to assist our clients with making repeated, complicated analysis and decisions easy to process and understand. Integrating systems and data, streamlining workflows, and improving operations are a few of our primary focus points. Our projects and clients vary greatly, and the projects will be diverse and constantly changing based on new technologies and our client's needs. This position requires some travel and occasional onsite client visits within the continental United States.   • Manage all aspects of project - schedule, budget, scope, client, team, etc.
  • Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams made up of software developers, business analysts, GIS analysts, technical managers, and business subject matter experts.
  • Supervise software development lifecycle for application development and enhancements.
  • Present status reports, actively seek out and respond to client needs.
  • Complete financial management and reporting.
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain Action Item, Issue and Risk Logs
  • Ensure ISO and process methodology compliance.
  • Resolve problems within working teams and with clients.
  • Facilitate meetings with project team and clients; prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes.
  • Monitor customer experience and support.
  • Author task orders and supporting proposal development activities.
  • Participate in contract reviews and negotiations.
  • May act as supervisor.


Education | Experience:

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 year degree, B.A., B.S.
  • 3 years of experience leading projects, preferably in a consulting/professional services environment

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Strong team building skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work productively with wide range of people

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Project Management certification such as PMP
  • Experience with MS Project and MS Visio
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Consulting experience with government clients
  • Familiarity with GIS or Geospatial technology
  • Degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, Engineering, Math, Management Information Systems or related field.
  • Background in geospatial enterprise data applications (ESRI platform)
  • Experience managing Agile development projects and/or agile certification

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with collaboration and issue tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Confluence and JIRA.
  • Experience with ArcGIS platform.
