Evening Line Cook

The Austin Club, the premier private dining club in Austin is looking for an experienced Line Cook.

Must have experience in saute and grilling along with experience in fine a la carte dining, banquets, and buffet preparation. Prior experience in a Private Club/fine dining or hotel experience would be a benefit. Formal culinary training and limited Spanish a plus, but not necessary.

The kitchen is a total scratch kitchen operation, NOT FAST FOOD OR OPEN A CAN AND SERVE.

A minimum of 3-5 years in a full SCRATCH PREP. service kitchen is desired. NOT FAST FOOD PLEASE

You must be able to work as a team player and will oversee evening a la carte dining along with assisting with banquets. The Austin Club staff is very well versed and has great knowledge (our average club staff has been here 10-1/2 years). This position is full time  with complete benefits (see below). Hours are primarily from 2:00 pm to close (generally 9:30 or so).  We  are not a late-night dining facility. The Club closes at 9:00 pm or earlier WEDS --Saturday  and we are closed Monday and Tues evenings with dinner service 4 nights a week ( WEDS- THURS  FRI   SAT  evening ) and Sunday Brunch from 10:30 to 1:30 
closed most Federal holidays.
