Compensation Analyst

Compensation Analyst

Responsible for supporting New Belgium's compensation program through job evaluation, analysis, and market research to ensure optimal balance of internal and external pay equity.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
  • Interviews and surveys employees and managers to gather and document job, organizational, and occupational information including duties, responsibilities, and skills required by each job.
  • Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.
  • Ensures requests for pay adjustments and hiring base comply with compensation policy and align with team equity
  • Contributes to compensation and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results; performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Improves compensation job knowledge by attending training sessions, reading technical publications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/ Experience/Skills:

  • 2+ years' experience in compensation analysis or administration
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software; advanced excel skills
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain and protect confidential information in a highly sensitive manner
  • Must be open to new ideas and concepts with the ability to facilitate change
  • Ability to be self-managed including prioritizing work, strong organizational and time management skills

Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

Starting Salary: $70,000.00-$75,000
