We're currently expanding and seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our leadership team. Our engineering managers are career development enthusiasts, seeking out opportunities and providing critical insights and feedback that fuel growth for their direct reports. They are culture champions and role models for collaboration, customer obsession and foster a diverse and inclusive workplace. They elevate our DevOps and Agile practices, using metrics and data to inform continuous improvement that enables our development staff to do their best work. As an Engineering Manager, you will: * Drive incremental value delivery for your team while defining and maintaining engineering best practices* Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve engineering process, employees' success, and business success* Provide technical guidance, and grow the expertise of your teams in architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, and experimentation* Lead initiatives such as establishing quality metrics and improvements including testing best practices and methodologies (TDD, BDD)* Attract and retain diverse talent by developing programs that support career development and recruiting strategies * Create an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration* Collaborate with engineering, product leadership, and key stakeholders such as sales and customer success to identify and achieve strategic business outcomes* Be a strong advocate and change agent for the Agile/Scrum process Required qualifications: * 2+ years experience as a manager or team lead for cloud based SaaS development team* 5+ years experience in a hands-on technical role in a software development organization* 3+ years experience in React or other JS frameworks (TypeScript experience is a plus).* Experience designing, implementing, and integrating with RESTful APIs.* Experience with Micro-frontend architecture* Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with the engineering and Dev Ops teams.* In-depth knowledge of engineering operations and hands-on experience in improving operational efficiency and developing a vision for long term success of engineering teams* Proficient with the entire SDLC, including successful product launches, as well as subsequent iterations of existing products, by utilizing effective software development practices including agile, continuous improvement and continuous delivery* Demonstrated track record of successfully hiring, managing, coaching and retaining engineers* Experience dealing with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment* Passionate advocate of Agile best practices and tools Preferred qualifications: * Experience with RESTful applications and architectures* Dev/Sec/Ops adoption and transformation* Experience leading engineering teams during the evolution of the Engineering function from start-up to scale* Familiarity with Lean methodology and principles Dealerware offers you: * Competitive base salary with bonus incentive eligibility* Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401K) + FREE telehealth (includes therapy visits)* Training for all employees provided in Udemy* Tuition Reimbursement and continuing education* Unlimited paid vacation policy* Generous Paid Parental Leave program* 100% remote work or Hybrid offered * Modern office and a dynamic team in downtown Austin with free parking (for those who wish to come into the office) * Friendly, small company environment with a progressive culture and somewhat flexible hours* Backed by Audi, a 112-year-old automotive industry leader* Semi-flat organizational structure that ensures your influence on products we build* Discounts on Silvercar rentals and participation in an Audi Lease ProgramIND123
