Risk and Audit Manager

Capita Mortgage Software Solutions (CMSS) is looking for a Risk and Audit Manager to join the team with a breadth of knowledge in risk processes and audit management in a software organisation.

Location: homebased position but you will be required to travel to Cheltenham or other UK offices as and when business requires.

Job Description:

The key purpose of this role is to uphold the quality and risk governance structure within CMSS. The participant will manage and co-ordinate the internal and external audits within the management operations team in CMSS and facilitate the risk and issue management procedures in line with the Capita framework.
Assurance over delivery and project governance
Manage and oversee the external accreditations and internal audits.
Quality lead for the business (including regular quality management reviews)
Risk and issue management lead - documenting, mitigating, and controlling risks
Support the annual recertification of the IS027001 - Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems audits.

What you'll be doing:
Manage external audits schedules including client and external bodies. Ensuring findings have appropriate actions noted and tracked to completion, with notification to relevant auditors where required.
Manage and facilitate internal audit schedule as expected by the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 and27001 requirement, including the production of audit findings, tracking of actions and presenting opportunities for improvements
Ensure that all managers, process owners and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system and their teams are following them. Including the management and maintenance of the quality SharePoint site and facilitating the quarterly quality management review meetings
Manage the CMSS risk register covering project, programme, business and supplier risk reviews in line with internal standard, ensuring all risks and controls are documented and where required actions are noted and tracked.
Manage monthly risk forum including producing MI for both internal audiences and for escalation to divisional risk committees
Oversee other aspects of Capita Risk Framework such as Information Asset Registers, Conflict of Interests. Gift and Hospitality etc

What we're looking for:
Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders (including 3rd party suppliers)
Extensive experience working in a financial service or business and software industry is preferred
Possess a positive attitude, willingness, and ambition to work towards and achieve set targets
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills demonstrating awareness and understanding of audience to board level and able to deliver appropriate messages - a confident and assertive communicator
Capable of developing an understanding of the business structure, drivers, influences and political and financial challenges
Ability to identify and own issues and work to tight timescales to deliver effective solutions
Problem solver, thinking outside the box to find and apply practical solutions
Diligent and reliable to ensure prompt reporting to the audit timescales
Knowledge in Audit Management
Experienced in Risk management
Knowledge in company and departmental standards and procedures
Extensive experience in governance standards, processes and methodologies of a software business is desired
Experience in ISO90001 and ISO27001 processes and audit management
(CQI & IRCA Certified in ISO9001 and ISO27001 is desired)
Knowledge and skills in MS Office and Sharepoint - specifically the maintenance of a document repository
