Location: Middlesbrough

Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 plus Car Allowance (£6000)

Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm

Imperial Professionals are working exclusively with a large food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a National Account Manager.


* Developing sales with company large account, managing sales and margin.

* Developing initiatives to grow existing volumes and introducing new products and ranges appropriate to the manufacturing abilities

* Managing the account specific NPD team and liaising with category to develop and deliver appropriate business plans.

* Liaising with all departments to ensure smooth and efficient running of the account.

* Assisting in other new business development as required.

* Budgetary responsibility

* Development of a mutually beneficial business plan:

* Sales volume and margin objectives

* Scorecard/JBP planning

* Account Business Reviews

* Promotion analysis

* Product Evaluation

* Service Levels

* Quality Assurance

* New products and range proposals

* Management of the account specific NPD process working closely with the relevant NPD Manager


* Experience working with top retail accounts within the FMCG

* Food & Drinks sector.

* Strong commercial awareness.

* Highly numerate with a dynamic and confident character and a strong ability to multi task.

* Attention to detail is paramount with an ability to work on your own initiative.

* Someone who can maintain and develop mutually beneficial relationships.

* Strong negotiation skills.

* Excellent planning, organizing and time management.

* Strong interpersonal & communication skills, comfortable across functionality at all levels.
