Product Development Assistant (12 month contract)

My Thame based client is seeking a talented, creative, individual to join them as a Product Development Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with graphical creative ability, including Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to support the product development process from idea to delivery.
As a Product Development Assistant your role will include:
* Providing administrative support to the Product Development Department
* Assisting the creative evolution of products from initial concepts to delivered goods
* Ensuring all new product order information is on the system accurately and in a timely manner using your strong numerical and analytical skills
* Liaising with the Marketing Team on new packaging requirements
* Approving production samples
* Daily contact with major retail customers and suppliers
* Photoshop and Illustrator new product development
* Sample management for catalogue shoots, trade fairs and press opportunities
* Helping to produce mood boards, sample displays and presentations for customer meetings
The successful Product Development Assistant will have the following skills:
* Good knowledge of MS Word and Outlook, and an intermediate level of Excel would also be an advantage due to significant database work including basic formula work.
* Fashion/Textiles/Graphic Design at degree level or equivalent level of professional working experience; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
* Experience within a buying, design or procurement department and be an enthusiastic, motivated, and positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being a good team player.
* Flexibility is essential.
Product Development Assistant - Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.
20 days holidays plus Bank Holidays.
This is initially a 12 month maternity cover fixed term contract but may become permanent at the end.
Salary 25K to 35K dependent on skills and experience + Bonus. Product Development Assistant
