Lead UI / UK Developer

Wise Employment have fantastic opportunities for Lead UI/UK Developers for remote working throughout the UK. These are new roles within the Multichannel division and will lead the delivery of the UX/UI and development of the multichannel platform throughout the business.

Duties:

You will work closely with the trading, content and innovation teams to create fantastic experiences that will excite the customer base. In order to achieve this, you will lead a team of UX developers and be responsible for the professional development of them along with the growth of this crucial function.

Skills required:

You will have excellent knowledge of User experience principles and design-based online conversion optimisation and user experience techniques, using this to create digital experiences that maximise customer satisfaction. You will have strong knowledge in the development lifecycle, selecting technologies and building common libraries and establishing scalable team workflows.

You will be an experienced and hands-on senior web designer/developer who understands the challenges in running a highly capable web production team.  You will be able to understand how to engineer web experiences that give users what they are looking for based upon the user experience.

It will be essential for you to have strong JavaScript, HTML, CSS3 (Sass/Less) skills along with a strong understanding of browser and network performance and scalable and maintainable architecture.

You will have experience of building accessible and cross browser compatible websites and be passionate about practice design and build approaches.

You will also have a good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEOs) techniques and semantic HTML5 to produce components that are accessible for customers and search engines.

You will also need to have a strong business acumen and confident with working across different teams and levels of seniority to ensure that all development is providing the best possible customer experience(s).

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 845am until 5.30pm and this role is complete remote working so you can be based throughout the UK.
