Emissions Reduction Advisor - Remote

Salary – £60k - £75k (Pro Rata) + Pension + Life Assurance + Healthcare + 33 days Holidays + Other benefits

Type: 1 Year Fixed Term Employment Contract

Hours: Part-Time (20 Hours per week)

Location: Remote (Aberdeen once per quarter)

The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry. They work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data.

The Role:

This role provides specific expertise and support in emissions management and reduction across our client’s business with involvement ranging from product design through to customer engagement.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provides advice on emissions management and reduction
Provides advice on all matters related to environmental compliance, legislation and reporting
Supports best fit product to customer technical requirements
Provides technical input to the design and development of new products, applications and tools
Provides technical verification of specific calculations to meet regulations
Supports prospecting sales and marketing campaigns and product demonstrations
Works with existing and potential clients to maximise the potential of their products and services
Attends specific customer stakeholder meetings and liaises with customers as required
Verifies robustness of methodologies, insights and recommendations
Provides input to customer case studies


Masters or Bachelors (Honours) Engineering or Science degree
Fluency in English
Full domestic/international mobility (including offshore travel)
5 years + environmental practitioner (operator side)
Expert in environmental legislation
Established track record of operational support to oil and gas assets


MS Office 365 Suite of products
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
Accomplished technical author
Customer facing
Strong organisational and analytical skills
The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines
A thorough understanding of atmospheric emissions together with a full appreciation of how this relates to the engineering processes of an oil and gas asset
The ability to plan and organize work flow in efficient manner
Experience of working with data sources and performing data analysis
Experience of working with P&IDs and other technical documentation


Ability to work independently on own initiative and to contribute as part of a team
Willingness and ability to be flexible
Ability to get on well with a wide variety of people
Direct communicator with ability to establish rapport
Patient and able to relate to different people including engineering experts
Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Able to use initiative effectively
