IT & Customer Support Technician Cuckfield, West Sussex Salary £25,000 - £27,000 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Technician to join Hands Free Computing. Working within a Technical Team, you will provide a market-leading support service to external customers together with hardware and software support to your colleagues within Hands Free Computing Ltd. Hands Free Computing are established as the market leader in the supply of assistive technology as well as training and coaching for people with disabilities, including those with neuro-diversities such as dyslexia. The solutions they provide enable people’s abilities to flourish creating a more productive workplace. Working as part of a Technical team, you will: Provide a market leading standard of services and technical support in maintaining and troubleshooting client software and hardware issues. Provide technical support for all software, hardware, telephones, and server issues as appropriate, including liaison with any third-party suppliers. Build effective and collaborative relationships with external clients, third party suppliers and your colleagues. Review and improve the existing core systems and processes within the company and research new assistive technology software and hardware relevant to the products and services supplied by Hands Free Computing. Review and develop any in-house product customisation and update assistive technology and technical training guides/documentation The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes and skills: Previous experience of resolving PC and software issues including installing & configuring Windows and other software applications. Solid grounding in MS Windows 10 and Microsoft Office Knowledge of Assistive Technology software (e.g., Dragon, TextHelp Read & Write, Mind Mapping. etc.) would be beneficial but not essential. A basic understanding of office networking and infrastructure is desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate customer focus and the ability to understand and adapt to a wide variety of end users. Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills. Enthusiastic and self-motivated learner. Team worker - flexible and adaptable. Hands Free Computing is based on the outskirts of Cuckfield and you will therefore need to have your own transport to travel to and from the office where there is plenty of car parking available. From time to time, you may be required to attend client premises in the UK.
